I got interested in the sport when I was only 12 yrs old. During my summer vacation in my hometown, Cebu, I often accompanied my dad whenever he played with his friends. While waiting I played some games to keep myself out of boredom. Eventually, I fell inlove with the sport.

In 1994, we transferred to Manila because of my dad’s work. My dad encouraged me to join a billiard club in Makati, Superbowl Executive Billiard Association. The members often played with me and gave me tips on how I could improve my game. I joined several club tournaments to gain experience.

When I started college, I decided to temporarily stop playing and concentrate on my studies. I only played during summer vacations and semester breaks. After graduating college, I was given the opportunity to represent the country in some international tournaments. In 2002, I was able to win my first ever international title, “2002 Asian 8ball Championships,” which was held in Singapore.

In 2003, I was asked by my uncle to join the family business. After that, I worked for a year in call center company in Makati, as a Customer Care Representative. When I heard the good news that there will be an elimination tournament for the Philippine Ladies billiard team, I got my cuestick and started playing again.

After five elimination tournaments, I was very fortunate to be part of the ladies team. When I got into the team, I immediately filed my resignation so that I would be able to dedicate my time in billiards.
