PICHAY & DAVIS CUP 2010 set in Blue Wave Mall

THE registration for the Pichay and Davis Cup Chess Festival is now underway, the event is set on March 28, 2010 in Blue Wave Mall, Macapagal Ave. Pasay City.  A cash pot of more than one hundred thousand and trophies are a stake in four groups, among the groups are all-master invitational for (group A), Open for (group B), Under_20 for (group C) and Under_12 for (group D).

Some of the confirmed participants to play for group A is the recent PSC EXPO Rapid chess champion Grandmaster Buenaventura Villamayor among others are GM Rogelio Antonio, GM Mark Paragua, GM Jayson Gonzales, GM Darwin Laylo, GM John Paul Gomez. The all-masters invitational group will vie in a knock out system while other groups will compete in seven round swiss system.

This event is organize and sponsor by Mr. Davis De Leon, along with him is the National Chess Federation of the Philippines chairman and president Prospero “Butch” Pichay Jr..  The event venue is sponsor by Blue Wave Mall.
