PALMDALE CHESS GETS UNDERWAY

THE 1st Palmdale Import and Export Co. Rapid Chess Tournament will officially start on June 28, 9:00 am at the Ramon Magsaysay High School in Cubao Campus.

Supported by sportsman/ businessman Fernando Reyes, in close cooperation with FDR International, Xt2000 orange oil and Diana Secret for anti aging treatment, the tournament is open to all non-masters players and will be a seven-round Swiss System event according to national master and International arbiter Erwin Carag, the chief arbiter in the said chessfest.

According to tournament benefactor sportsman/ businessman Fernando Reyes, the purpose of the tournament is to “reach the grassroots level, at the same time, help expose and propagate the sports event.”  “To stay way from drugs,” added the Palmdale, California based Reyes, who hails from Bacoor, Cavite, hometown of youngest super grandmaster Wesley So.
