FOSCON Ship Management  played just hard enough to beat CUSA champion  Manuel Luis Quezon University, 91-83,  and gain a share of the lead with idle Forward Taguig  in the 2010 MBL Open basketball championship at the  Lyceum gym in Intramuros, Manila.
Jay-Ar Estrada led three players in double figures for for Foscon, which posted its third straight win in this  eight-team, two-month long tournament organized by Millennium Basketball League (MBL) and supported by Smart Communications, Dickies Underwear and PRC Managerial Services.
Estrada, a 6-4 former University of the East player,  finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds for Foscon, which led 47-38 at halftime.
Floyd Dedicatoria added 13 points, Eric Suguitan contributed  12  points and Luis Palaganas and Jake Castro had 10 points each for the Intramuros-based Ship Management squad of coach Ricky Alcantara.
Jopher Custodio and Derreck Dizon finished with 16 points each for the Stallions, who dropped to 1-1.
