LUAT BEATS BATA, LEADS VILLARDS Iloilo Semis

Iloilo City Philippines – Efren “Bata” Reyes made a short work of Rodolfo Luat as the Bacolod leg winner easily disposed off the magician, 9-7, of The Manny Villar Cup Iloilo leg yesterday at the Activity Center SM City Mall here.

Using his overwhelming advantage in experience, Rodolfo Luat known as Boy Samsonb never gave Reyes a chance, en route to his second straight victory in this ninth stop of the prestigious island-hopping series presented by Senator Manny B. Villar’s Villards: Tulong sa Pagsulong ng Philippine Sports.

Luat will face the winner of former wolrd champion Ronnie Alcano and and Bulacan leg titleholder Ramil Gallego in the quarterfinals tomorrow.

The winner of this leg will receive the P300,000 top prize and a slot to the Villar Cup Battle of Champions in September.
