Group A, top 10 individual standings after the 7th leg:
1. Dr. Jenny Mayor (112 points), 2. FM Randy Segarra (76 points), 3. NM Allan Sasot (57 points), 4. NM Ali Branzuela (51 points), 5. NM Allan Macala (46 points), 6. RP and US master Almario Marlon Bernardino Jr. (40 points), 7. NM Ronald Llavanes (39 points), 8. FM Mirabeau Maga (39 points), 9. NM Efren Bagamasbad (35 points), 10.NM Ric Portagalera (33 points)
RP six-time executive champion Dr. Jenny Mayor remains on top in the over-all grand prix standings after accumulating 112 points after the 7th leg of the 2009 Philweb–Human Plus National Executive Grand Prix Active Chess Championships.
At solo second place is Fide Master Randy Segarra, head coach of De La Salle University, Taft campus varsity chess team garnered 76 points followed by third place NM Allan Sasot with 57 points.
Rounding up to the top ten (10) were 4. NM Ali Branzuela (51 points), 5. NM Allan Macala (46 points), 6. RP and US master Almario Marlon Bernardino Jr. (40 points), 7. NM Ronald Llavanes (39 points), 8. FM Mirabeau Maga (39 points), 9. NM Efren Bagamasbad (35 points), and 10.NM Ric Portagalera (33 points).
Bernardino and Llavanes, both climb up to the top ten (10) after sharing the top honors in the Group A division, 7th leg last weekend.
The 8th leg to be held on September 19, 1 p.m at the Human Resources Conference Room, Dept. of Agrarian Reform, Elliptical Road, Quezon Memorial Circle, Quezon City.
Organized by the Philippine Association of Chess Executives (PACE), the 25 minutes time control, one-day event is hosted by DAR Secretary Nasser Pangandaman, DARIE Director Nelia Manahan, DAREA President Nanette Pascual and DAR employee Lito Dormitorio and Philweb Corporation.
There are two divisions: Group A: 2000 & above latest NCFP Active Rating (Swiss System) and Executive NMs and FMs.
Group B: 1999 & below latest NCFP Active Rating (SWISS SYSTEM 5, 6, or 7 rounds depending on the number of participants).
Registration Fee: Group A: P1,000, Group B: P700
