MANILA, PHILIPPINES—REIGNING national champion Lee Vann Corteza regained his old deadly form in his 8-4 conquest of local bet Bogas to lead opening round winners of Predator World Tour yesterday at the Lloret de Mar in Girona, Spain.Actually, the game was resume yesterday after the tournament organizer decided to stop the action after the stormy weather affected the playing conditions to a unacceptable level last Tuesday.
The Davao City native Corteza, top player of sportsman/ businessman Jonathan Sy of the rising Negros Billiards Stable is bracketed in Group B is fresh from winning the Billiards and Snooker Congress of the Philippines (BSCP) 4th National Pool Championship last December.

Corteza, on the other hand is in Group B along with hometown crowd favorite David Alcaide of Spain, whom he defeated in the semi-finals, 9-7, of 2009 World Ten Ball Championships last November in Manila.
Alcaide, the no.1 player in his country, nicknamed “El Matador” won the 2009 Predator World Tour in Anadia, Portugal last September 12, beating Feijen, 8-2, in the finals.
