LAPU-LAPU CITY—MORE than 40 players from all over the city have signed up for the prestigious councilor Eduardo L. Cuizon 9-ball tournament on June 9 to 13 at the famous Rhodiet Billiard Hall here.
Cebuano sportsman Paul “Magi” Magadan leads the cast in the P12,000 top prize money event with the first runner up will go home P6,000. This Independence day 9-ball tournament organized and hosted by councilor Rudy Potot. According to councilor Rudy Potot, the tournament is aimed at discovering new pool talents in the city.
Magadan, the former University of San Carlos-TC Civil engineering student, meanwhile advance in the round-of-16 in the on-going Don’t Tell Mama 9-ball tournament in Manalili, Cebu. ” I hope to perform well in the knock-out stage here in Manalili 9-ball. ” said Magadan, also the manager of 2008 World Ten Ball semi-finalists Demosthenes “Plong-Plong” Pulpul.
