BERNARDINO TO HOLD SIMUL CHESS IN MERALCO TODAY

RP and United States Chess master Almario Marlon Bernardino Jr., will hold simultaneous chess exhibition today, Friday, 6 pm at the Lopez Bldg in Meralco head office in Pasig City.

“I hope to do well in this event,” said the Quezon City resident Bernardino, a radio commentator, sports writer and member of the coaching staff of La Salle Greenhills (LSGH) under the leadership of head coach International arbiter/ national master Erwin Carag.

Last month, Bernardino swept all of his 10 board matches in a rare simultaneous chess exhibition.

Organized by Meralco Chess Club headed by its president Rolly Sol Cruz, this is the first activities for the month of March of Meralco Chess Club coincide the celebration of Employees Week and preparation for the upcoming 1st MVP (Manny V. Pangilinan) Olympics.

Other activities that includes Workshop w/ mini-tourney for Meralco Jrs Players, Battle of Meralco GMs Tournament and Employees’ Day Tournament.
