B-LEAQUE SET ON NOVEMBER—NCBL

NATIONAL Collegiate Billiards Leaque (NCBL) president Aurelio “Relio” de Leon announced yesterday that the holding of the first
college and high school billiards leaque dubbed as “B-Leaque” gets underway on November 13 to March 6, 2011 to be held at the world class Star Billiards Center in No.46 Joy Street, Grace Village, Quezon City.

” Iniimbitahan natin lahat ng school sa Metro Manila na makipag participate sa kauna-unahang college at high school billiards leaque,” said de Leon, confidante of world boxing seven-division champion and Sarangani rep. Manny Pacquiao and PBA legend former senator Robert “Sonny” Jaworski.

” Base sa experience ko sa 10 years ko na involved sa sports. Dapat talagang ibigay sa schools ang pamamahala sa grass roots programs. Para makakuha ng better at more rounded players,” added  BMPAP head Ceferino “Perry” Mariano, co-founder of NCBL that includes NCBL chairman Jonathan Sy of Negros Billiards Stable, Verna Mariano of Bugsy Promotions,Christine “Ish” Caparras of Puyat Sports and sportswriter/ radio commentator Almario Marlon Bernardino Jr.

“Ito na ang matagal ng hinihintay ng mga kababayan natin na magkaroon ng billiards leaque among sa school, ito ang B-Leaque,” added sportsman Perry Mariano, who heads the career of Dennis Orcullo, Ronato Alcano, Roberto Gomez, Carlo Biado and Gandy “Yang-Yang” Valle.

ACCEL is the official outfitter of B-Leaque and will be aired free thru live streaming (internet) hosted by Star Billiards Center headed by long-time billiards patron Sebastian “Baste” Chua. The finals will be held in SM Megamall.
