45 COUNTRIES IN WORLD TEAM POOL CHAMPIONSHIP IN HANNOVER, GERMANY

MANILA, PHILIPPINES—OVER 45 countries committed to join the world team event dubbed as the first World Team Championship in Pool scheduled on January 30 to February 7, 2010 in Hannover, Germany.
This was bared yesterday by the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA). Promoter is Base Events Europe with the assistance of the German Billiards Union. Tournament offers $400,000 in total prizes and will features 8-ball, 9-ball and 10-ball competition.
Each country allowed to field one team which composed of 4 to 6 players. Philippine team will be chosen by Billiards and Snooker Congress of the Philippines (BSCP) under its president and long-time billiards patron Sebastian “Baste” Chua.
Pinoy players interested in tryouts for RP team should contact Butch Argonza of BSCP.
